hello dreamrecallers today we have a fantastic guest with us who is going to discuss his dreams Alexis I don’t even remember my dream last night but I’m good I’m ready I’ve got something in the bag somewhere I’m sure I’m good how are you yeah I’m good thank you I think I have a lot of anxiety dreams I think my main recurring theme is anxiety dreams a lot of teeth falling out a lot of nudity and of missing exams I think that my biggest recurring dream is about missing exams and not handing in coursework so clearly I’ve got some really deep unresolved issues about my education days but outside of that most of my dreams are like quite epic stories a lot of space travel a lot of espionage space operas sitcoms and espionage so what happens in your espionage dream there’s a lot of like double agents they using quite a sort of standard residential settings so just a house often in Birmingham people following me and double agents and and it’s not stressful so it’s not anxiety about trust it’s just that’s the story so I’m having to portrait places and having to sneak around like buildings that I’ve broken into there’s a few sort of Die Hard type scenes or I mean like an abandoned office building I’m having to make my way around there’s nothing like you know they’ll know Russian government’s or yeah I’m not like I’ve never got a dossier in my hand but yeah I’ve had ones like that yeah what does it mean [Unintelligible] maybe maybe just buying I think the main thing is about like infiltration I don’t know how to spell that word dreaming of spying symbolise the feeling of being what should judge that can represent a fear of being exposed or need to be more mindful of your actions and words as well as it needs to be more aware of the intentions of others ok yeah whatever associate with that yeah what one of my espionage dreams I solve the equation for continuously assistant in more than one dimension at once and I had it on a chalkboard with another dream character and then these men in like suits came in and we’re like we’re going to take this off of you and I was running and I was running down the yeah I think had those agents not had Sabotage a new discovery I could have included it and boot it back into this world back into the real world nightmare you have to find that Dream again cuz living in two States have exist most States have existence no problems as the tourist b i g once said but I told you about where you split your consciousness I think you mentioned it before yeah it’s weird feeling anyway space dreams tell me about your space dream I mean the truth is that outside of anxiety I don’t really have a personality so the truth is I just big like Classic Star Trek Deep Space Nine spaceships well it’s not like a tiny little one like they had in Star Wars but like you can walk around it the far future everybody lives the occasionally land on planets but they get quite galactic like there are supernatural god-like beings that starts to appear there are massive firefights I’m usually hurting through like exploding buildings those ones like this the espionage one’s a little pedestrian the espionage is in the background somewhere the space ones are 100 space 100% of the time there is no escaping Empire or whoever it is gonna invade this planet are we winning or not and I never quite find out but I’m in those dreams as long as possible why do you think you can find out what do you think the subconscious always wakes us up always like just fleeting away I don’t know if it’s because the truth of life is nothing ever ends there’s no such thing as the end of the story right life continues on until the heat death of the Universe so in this spaceship that’s exploding maybe I do get out but when I get out I just got into more story it’s not like I get to the bit where everybody’s sitting around saying well that’s everything finished she could go back to our lives no thousands of years so I guess it’s just from one chaotic situation to the next but I’m in those dreams I as I get policeman closer to being loose and I’m not much of a lucid dreamer but as you get closer and closer you can start to like see if you can navigate the story in a particular Direction so I do try to look through the narrative towards the conclusion but even then it just opens out into more questions when when you try to control the narrative how do you specifically do it and you find that the dream characters try to push you almost back into following it absolutely yeah you’re trying to like say oh wait these people are dying can we have it so they’re not dying you can control maybe this part of the dream but then this part of the dream is pulling in the other direction and so you have to let that go you have to you’re trying to now focus on too many things and the a stick in a stream you can only sort of control so much the stream is gonna carry you in it’s in its wake anyway so yeah I don’t get very far I’ve only really done one bit of properly lucid dreaming I think which I genuinely think was Lisa dreaming which was when I start a nightmare where I was in a house and it was getting broken into and I managed to sort of enter my character in that dream and I managed to navigate it so that I got the upper hand on this other person and so that they were just less dangerous this was a good few years ago but I remember coming out of that starting at dream that I became aware that it was a dream but I still felt in danger so I knew I was in a dream but I still felt I was in that situation at the same time but because I knew I was in a dream I knew that completely helpless which is to say I had more control over the reality of the situation not just on my own actions and so I managed to just reinforce my head that it’s a dream and because it’s a dream I can go through this door I’m not trapped in this room I can not continue to go down the stairs but go in a different Direction the person in this house they don’t have a knife they have a small bats and a small bat is a lot less scary to me than very specifically waking up thinking I actually managed to resolve that dream within the dream without having to be awake in a dream a dream within a dream I definitely have that whole basic and again all of my 90% am I doing today anxiety dreams and a lot of them are about waking up late for work panic to realisation that that was genuinely a dream and the sense of relief with one of the most exhilarating things in the world when you realise it was just you’re not late you can go back to sleep everything’s fine and have you actually thought about digging deeper into analysing them to try and work out why specifically you do have so many anxiety dreams to see if you can try and use dreaming to counteract it yeah I should have not spend a lot of time I do wake up and reflect a little on the and on what it means for my relationship with anxiety and former and current stresses and think about whether or not and also just I guess more than anything else but I can resolve them in the dream or resolve them outside the dream there’s obviously a part of me that has carried that anxiety my entire life or from school and then when I wake up I do reflect on where it comes from in reality that period of my life being late to hand in every piece of homework and constantly just feeling the stress of all of that and where I am now vs then and why it isn’t that stress shouldn’t affect me anymore and I don’t live in that world but I mean the dream still coming at me so maybe in the dream maybe I can have a chat with myself in the dream and be like mate it’s fine it’s fine how old were you when you first started dreaming I think I have yeah dreamed like most my life I remember dreaming as a child I used to have a lot of fever dreams I don’t have them so much anymore a little bit but when I was a child have some really vivid fever dream memories when I had a bit of a cold the main symptoms for ME was that my dreams got vapour vivid hyper saturated they were like massive terrifying cartoon dreams and I would wake up and Carry some of those dreams my whole life I remember dreaming as alike Primary School child and still remembering some of those dreams because they were just so larger than life and so yeah I think I’ve been dreaming the whole time you never it’s surprises me actually like that given how you think that you’ve never really download in the Astro around another astral projected I mean I don’t really know much about it to double I mean I am a nihil Sophie Jones so my Core belief is that there is no such thing as reality let alone higher states of reality but yeah I do dream I do drift off to whatever else exists I mean I’ve got lots of theories of what consciousness is at all let alone what the various different states of consciousness may or may not represent let alone what other states of consciousness we may be able to experience what is I need to plug my laptop then cos it’s going to die is this the publication on the internet because we’ve been talking for a while and while I might enjoy talking to you I’m not sure the entire world is going to listen to 30 minutes of me rambling about things I had as a 6-year-old but this bit is going to be great you’re just off screen and so that’s for all of your viewers are tuning in for just pictures of some room that Sophie Jones is in but isn’t even her so basically what was before we end the most craziest dream you’ve ever witness I mean other than that nightmare where I was chased around the house and I managed to get out of it and one so there’s a bunch of like space dreams but there’s one where I told the joke in the dream that made me laugh so much I woke myself up I don’t remember this I will try to remember the joke when I woke up but I loved this joke I so at the moment you remember in [Unintelligible] the the iOS I build first and then I replicate everything over to Android so I’m in the middle school now but I just feel like it’s always better to start with the book as you’re writing things down because you get into that muscle memory and then once you’ve built it up to do the app move over to the App because personally I started writing it down because I found opening up the phone you get distracted by notifications once you’ve got into that habit of picking up the book written it down in the book you then it’s kind of like muscle memory right you’ve built that memory and then you’re like at a point where ok I’m ready to write it in the app now but you have my [Unintelligible] Alexis you have a lot of anxiety dreams about homework here’s some homework in 3 months time I’m going to check so I guess all of your dreams for the next few months are going to be new dreams about new homework that you’re behind on bye
